Easy arrangements of 82 folk songs, popular songs, hymns and carols from Britain, Europe and America complete with words and chord symbols for those who wish to strum simple accompaniments.  Arranged for solo classical guitar, and voice with guitar accompaniment.  Most of the songs in this book will be well-known to the English speaking peoples. They are songs that most of us have known from childhood and are an integral part of our culture.  These traditional tunes are beautiful in their own right but what is more they make ideal material for the student who, because he is familiar with the melodies, is able to relate the aural sound to the written symbols.  Each song is arranged in two ways (a) the words with chord symbols for strumming an accompaniment to the human voice and (b) for solo classical guitar.  To cater for those who have no aspirations to playing solo guitar the song arrangements are as simple as possible.  The words are written out and the chord symbols placed directly above without the usual lines of music notation intervening. Also the song arrangements have been pitched in keys suitable to average untrained voices. If anything they are slightly low so that those who wish can raise the pitch by using a capo.  Detailed instructions and excellent arrangements. Staff notation only.  A4 landscape 96 pages
